How lucky we are...

I am frequently reminded of how very lucky our family is to have our girls with us.

I feel such sadness and pain for other families when they aren't as lucky. I can only imagine what it must be like to go through losing a baby. It's hard to even think about how easily it could have turned out differently for us. As difficult as any day might be, I can't imagine going on without my girls.

Like I mentioned in the last post...we've already gotten our miracle. This family needs theirs. Please keep them in your hearts and thoughts.

Billie -

Thanks for sharing. I have spent an hour now reading their story. You are right, we need to always, always realize our blessings and cherish our miracles. Goodnight, I need to go and kiss my babies!

Okay, I'm off to go snuggle with my 7 week old. I really need it after reading that. I'm so sad for Emily's family. It's just not fair.

Last Wednesday I stayed up until 3am reading Holland and Eden's story. I was so captivated by your beautiful girls and by your strength in dealing with the ups and downs that come with being preemie parents. (Especially of multiples!) I have a NICU graduate myself (Noelani born at 24 weeks 1 day). She is now 15 months (11 months adjusted) and is doing great. I was so saddened when I decided to check on my twin girls and read about Emily. Thank you for sharing her story. I too count my blessings that Noelani is still with us and am praying hard for Emily's parents to get through this unimaginably difficult time. God bless you and I will be checking back to see how the girls are doing.
