Sleeping In Our Own Room!

So, since Holland has mastered the rolling over thing, she won't stay swaddled at night and is a crazy baby moving all around in her sleep. Every night she ends up sleeping on her belly. It wasn't working out for them to sleep together because Holly was always waking Eden up, so we finally made the big move into their own cribs in their bedroom. We had been contemplating the move after they came off the oxygen, but were finally forced to take action. Holland has really adapted well to the transition and is sleeping much better at night, mostly on her belly. Each time we go in to check on her we find her sleeping in a new position. This morning she had somehow managed to make a 180 degree turn in the crib, as well as rolling from her back to her belly, all while sound asleep. In fact, it was the first time ever that she didn't wake up to nurse, and didn't get up until 8:30am!

Eden has had a little more trouble adapting to the move. The first two night she didn't sleep well at all, but she did a little better last night. I think she misses her sis, or sleeping with mom and dad. She is still sleeping swaddled, but does get her hands out more to suck on her fingers.

I'm sure Eden misses her sis, mom, and dad but it will probably just take a little time for her to appreciate her own crib (as soon as she starts rolling she will enjoy the extra room). I'm glad Holland is sleeping well and hopefully mom will be soon too. Sometimes I'm am still just in awe that these two beautiful babies have come so far and now they seem to be growing almost too fast. Try to make them slow down just a little, their going to be toddling around before we know it! Love You All, Hope you have a fun weekend. Love Liz

I agree with Liz, it does seem as if they are growing so very quickly. They look absolutely adorable, as usual. Much love, Jess

p.s. tell Holland that Aidan and I hate sleeping on our backs too. :)

What happy places to sleep!:) Mitch and I had a WONDERFUL time on our big field trip, sorry to hear about Holland's(John's) meltdown later that night:(. As they get more used to being out all day maybe that won't happen! I love you ALL!!!! Kim

Wow, what a big change for the sisters! I'm sure Eden will adjust very quickly. Kelsey and Merry both fussed when they were first put in their cribs alone, but they were fine after a few nights. :) I bet you will be sleeping better soon as well! :)
I love you, and will be coming to see you all very soon. :)
Take care.

Love,
Kendra

Nothing like sleeping in the "big bed" all by yourself! You know what you want Hollie! Eden may be just a little slow in realizing that having all that space to roll is a good thing! Once they start standing up and talking to one another over the top of their cribs it will all be good! Don't laugh, it will be coming soon the way these two are developing! Love, Mamma Jules

I remember getting up and checking on my boys when they were babies. They would be sound asleep but I needed to make sure they were okay. You have so many adventures ahead of you. Just wait until they start crawling all over the place. Then the staggering walk. Every advancement they make will continue to give you joy. I'm thankful for these wonderful blessings in your lives. I know how very thankful you are, too. May God bless you. Connie Wilhoite

Glad to hear of the new events each day. It does seem that once a baby starts to do new things, it's a race to discover more. They don't slow down; and we, as parents, want to enjoy them in a new stage - at least for a little while! But they forge ahead a we must resort to memories and looking at pictures:-( Savor each stage while it lasts!
I love you all
